The new
Fender American Deluxe Stratocaster takes the legendary Strat design to a whole new level, offering the modern guitarist all the features they could possibly desire. This guitar has all the great feel and playability of the original, but with the addition of the new N3 noiseless pickups, S-1 Switching, and compound radius fretboard, the American Deluxe Strat is given a 21st century makeover.
The body is made of select alder, and paired with a maple C shaped neck with a compound radius maple fretboard, allowing for effortless string bending all over the fretboard. Tuning stability is offered by the chrome plated locking machine heads, and Fenders N3 noiseless pickups ensure there is no background hum whatsoever. Added to the versatile S-1 switching system, this makes this instrument the ideal choice for recording guitarists. Finished in a beautiful Amber Lacquer with a tortoiseshell scratchplate.
The S-1 switch is the perfect solution for players who want to preserve their guitars stock appearance but with a greater selection of sounds available at the push of a button. The button is virtually invisible, and even with the switch engaged, nothing pops up from the pickguard. This eliminates the big disadvantage of regular push/pull and push/push knobs. The switch also allows the use of the standard five way switch to access ten very different sounds, including the five standard strat positions, plus five extras. With the switch engaged, the options available are...
1. All three pickups on
2. Bridge and middle in series-mid boost / humbucker type sound, slightly brighter, suitable for heavier styles.
3. Neck and middle in series-humbucker type sound, great Clapton type tones and slide sounds.
4. Neck and bridge- Tele style sound, slightly fuller, with a semi hollow type edge.
5. All pickups, in series, out of phase-an angular sound, great for classic blues tones and funky rhythm.
