Its been a busy few weeks here at the Nottingham Drum and Guitar Centre, and we've had a lot of new products come into the store....
First off, Acoustic drum kits by Sonor
. This company had disappeared from the UK for a couple of years, but now the famous German drum brand is back with some fantastic kits. The Sonor AQ1 Drum kit
series offers 5 piece kits in either stage (22" 10" 12" 16" snare) or Studio (20" 10" 12" 14" snare) configurations, complete with hardware. These kits feature 100% birch shells and lacquer finished shells, all for just £947.
Next up is the maple shelled Sonor AQ2 drum kit
series, sold as shellpacks in a variety of sizes, and available in a wide range of lacquered finishes.
As far as electronic drum kits
go, the big news is the release of the new Roland TD-17-KL
, the long awaited successor to the TD-11. Featuring a mesh snare drum pad and a newly designed module that allows you to import your own samples, this is sure to be a huge success in the sub £900 market.
